A HOPLEY man has been arrested for allegedly raping his 12-year-old daughter.

The man and his family stay in a one-roomed house.

Reports are that on an unknown date last month, at around 4pm, the girl’s stepmother left her husband with the minor and other kids while she went to church.

At around 8pm, the girl and her young brother slept on the floor while the accused person slept on the bed.

At around 2am, the girl woke up and found her father under her blanket.

She also found that her skirt and panties had been removed and she had semen and was bleeding from her private parts.

The girl woke up her young brother and they asked their father why he was in their blankets but he did not respond.

The girl reported the rape to her stepmother when she returned home from church at around 6am.

She confronted her husband who told her to keep quiet since she wasn’t the girl’s biological mother.

On February 27, the stepmother went to church and the father again raped his daughter.

She disclosed the rape to her stepmother the following morning and she accompanied the girl to make a report at Southlea Park Police Station on Saturday.
