The man, aged 37 who cannot be named for ethical reasons, from Sigodo Village was not asked to plead when he appeared briefly before Gwanda magistrate, Mrs Nomagugu Sibanda facing a rape charge. He was remanded in custody to 13 January.
Prosecuting, Mr Noel Mandebvu said the accused person arrived at the complainant’s house in Spitzkop suburb in Gwanda and demanded back money that she owed him.
