Man sentenced to 18 Years in prison for raping minor

A 23-YEAR-Old man from Keme Village has been sentenced to 18 years in prison for raping a 14-year-old minor.

The incident occurred on 9 February 2025 at 1 am, when the accused forcibly entered the girl’s residence, threatening to kill her and her brother before raping her.

According to the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPAZ), the girl reported the assault to a neighbour, who accompanied her to the police to file a formal report.
