Africa, died after cutting his throat with a knife.
Witnesses said he made a sudden stop and other motorists thought it was due to congestion only to realise blood gushing out from his throat.
A witness who identified herself as Ms Cynthia Dube told ZBC News that the man was driving in front of her when he suddenly stopped his vehicle, drew a knife and killed himself.
“I was driving behind the car from St John’s College up until the car abruptly stopped. At first we thought it was a traffic jam and when we pulled over we ran to the car and saw blood gushing out from his neck,” Ms Dube said.
The cause of the suicide could not immediately be established but a nephew to the deceased who identified himself as Arnold hinted it could have been as a result of a domestic dispute. Masuku’s widow who arrived at the scene later was visibly shaken and could not shed light as to what could have happened while the deceased’s workmates said they were still in shock and had no hint of what could have led to the tragedy.
