A GOOD Samaritan from Plumtree turned villain recently when he sodomised a man several times at knife point after giving him a slice of bread and offering him accommodation. Police officers found Ronald Mutukwa, 32, asleep and arrested him after his victim escaped and reported him to the police.
Prosecutors say Mutukwa met his victim, 22, at the Plumtree Border Post after he had been deported from Botswana and offered him two slices of bread.
He later convinced the complainant to sleep at his place overnight after realising that he was desperate for food and accommodation.
On the way, he produced a knife and force-marched his victim to a deserted truck where he sodomised him several times.
He later fell asleep while in the truck and the victim escaped and reported the matter to the police.
Police officers arrested the accused as he slept in the vehicle.
Prosecuting, Stanley Chinyanganya said: “The complainant and accused person were both deported on March 10. They later met at the Plumtree Border Post about 11PM where Mutukwa offered to assist Ncube with accommodation. He took him to an abandoned truck where he sodomised him.”
Mutukwa appeared before Plumtree magistrate, Gideon Ruvetsa on initial remand and was remanded in custody to March 28.
