Man sparks debate over Man United themed wedding

We always hear stories of women who have dreamed of their wedding day since they were little girls. Some have planned for years in advance to have their “magical” day —from the wedding dress to the flowers and even that special first dance song. So why is it so shocking that this Kenyan man had the wedding of his dreams?

The groom was harshly criticised by the public and readers of Africa gossip news for putting his own wedding desires before his bride’s – and was even accused of loving the soccer team Manchester United more than his wife.

The theme included red and white flowers, a red Chevrolet tier on the cake, a Man United banner draped over the main car and at some point during the wedding procession, the groom wore a red Man United T-shirt with the words “just married” on the back.

It was later discovered that both the bride and the groom were fans of the Red Devils soccer team and that both parties were involved in the planning.
Do you think that a couple’s wedding day should be all about the bride? Why is it deemed unacceptable for a man to have the wedding of his dreams? — Sowetanlive.
