A 27-YEAR-OLD man from Vantage Compound in Rainham, located after Dzivaresekwa Extension, appeared in court yesterday charged with the murder of his wife following infidelity accusations.

The suspect, Tinashe Turamayi, did not enter a plea when he appeared before Harare magistrate Tapiwa Kuhudzai.

He was remanded in custody until August 27, pending the finalisation of investigations.

Turamayi was advised to seek bail through the High Court, as he is facing a third schedule offence.

According to the allegations, on August 11, Turamayi confronted his wife, Marita Nyamunda, about suspected infidelity.

The situation escalated, leading Turamayi to stab Nyamunda twice in the back and once in the stomach with a kitchen knife.

The State informed the court that witnesses will testify to having seen Turamayi stab his wife. Additionally, the knife used in the incident has been recovered and will be presented as evidence.

Mr Lawrence Gangarahwe represented the State.
