HARARE Civil Court magistrate, Rutendo Machingura, has granted a protection order to a woman who was being emotionally abused by her ex-husband.
Chenai Pasipamire had accused her ex-husband Cosmos Kondo of sending her unsavoury messages on her cellphone.
She told the Harare Civil Court that Cosmos had been stalking her since 2016 after their divorce.
This was her second time applying for a protection order against Cosmos.
“He texted me saying our divorce does not mean anything to him.
“He accused me of having an affair with my boss and further listed a number of men he claims I am having affairs with.
“Yesterday (Wednesday), he texted me saying, remember the protection order you applied for against me in 2016 has expired.
“I am afraid that he might come to my place of residence,” Chenai said.
Cosmos said he would only be responding to Chenai’s messages.
“We do communicate, and I buy gifts for her,” said Cosmos.
