A 23-year-old man has appeared in court accused of stealing his boss’ money.

The suspect, Bright Matamba, is facing theft charges.

Bright was granted $20 000 bail when he appeared before Harare magistrate Dennis Mangosi.

The State, represented by Pardon Dziva, alleged that on September 18, along Cliff Road, Borrowdale, Bright went to the complainant’s house to  replace a broken ceiling.

It is the State’s case that the complainant then left US$10 000 in his bedroom and attended other businesses.

The court heard that Bright took advantage of the absence of the complainant and took his money and went away.

The complainant’s daughter is said to have witnessed  Bright committing the offence through the window.
