A 24-YEAR-OLD Bulawayo man has been arrested on allegations of strangling to death his employer during a foiled armed robbery.
The suspect Kelvin Matambudziko Ndavambi killed his employer Noor Hussein (67) after strangling him with a towel in front of his family.
National police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed.
“The Zimbabwe Republic Police has arrested Kelvin Matambudziko Ndavambi (24) for killing his employer, a foreign national, Noor Hussein (67) on 9th May 2026 while trying to rob him and his family in Khumalo area, Bulawayo. The suspect who was in the company of an accomplice identified as Dhlamini went to the businessman’s residence and attacked him during the night while armed with pistols, wooden planks and strangled him with a towel in front of his family.
“The suspect and his accomplice ran away when the family raised an alarm which prompted other family relatives to rush to the scene,” he said.
The suspect was arrested on May 13, 2026, in Bulawayo Central Business District while trying to board a bus to Harare.
Meanwhile, police are appealing for information which may lead to the arrest of Dhlamini.
