HARARE Civil Court Magistrate Meenal Naratom granted a protection order against a man who threatened to kill his ex-lover 13 times.
Shepherd Damiro appeared before the court facing allegations of threats of violence to his ex-girlfriend Pamela Muneno.
Pamela testified that Shepherd made 13 death threats against her, including breaking into her home, physically assaulting her, and threatening to choke her to death.
“He threatened to kill me 13 times and on Thursday he came to my house before he broke the glass door and injured me with a glass on my arm.
“On several occasions, he tried poking my eyes and choking me.
“He always admits that he wants to choke me to death and he said it will give him pleasure to watch me die.
“He comes to my workplace insulting me in front of my co-workers. May the court protect me because l am living in fear every day,” she said.
Shepherd admitted to making the threats and showed no objection to the court granting the protection order.
“I have no comment and I did threaten her. “I have no problems with the court granting her request.”
