Man trampled to death by elephant in Victoria Falls

TRAGEDY struck the Mkhosana CBZ area in Victoria Falls on Sunday night when a local man was trampled to death by a marauding elephant.

The victim has been identified as Gift Siziba (38), an employee of the local hospitality firm Wild Horizon.

It is understood that the late Siziba was on his way to attend a funeral of a colleague when the fatal incident occurred.

According to eyewitness, the elephant confronted Siziba near a residential property.

It reportedly seized him and dragged him for a considerable distance before ultimately kneeling and stomping on top of him outside a house, leaving him lifeless.

The elephant eventually retreated into the nearby bush.
