adminMANCHESTER. — Manchester United fans are not happy following reports that the club have removed a plaque commemorating Sir Matt Busby in the directors’ box.
The legendary Red Devils boss’ children both recently died and his grandchildren have now been given season tickets in another part of the stadium.
The plaque was on the seat where Busby used to sit after his retirement in the directors’ box.
But the club have taken down the plate, which was attached to Sir Matt’s seat following his retirement and have given their late former manager’s family, who had three seats alongside it, season tickets elsewhere in the stadium.
Sir Matt, who passed away in 1994, is seen as one of United’s greats after playing a key role in the history of the club. — The Daily Star.
