Man wrestles thief, recovers stolen car

Chamaona lost his vehicle during the night to car thieves and reported the case to the police.

National Police spokesperson Chief Superintendent Paul Nyathi said Chamaona spotted his car along High Glen Road heading towards High Glen Shopping Centre and being driven by one of the suspects.

“He then followed the car up until he caught up with it near the traffic intersection lights in Marimba,” he said.

Chamaona is reported to have confronted the suspect before they wrestled.

Chief Supt Nyathi said Chamaona was dragged for more than 300 metres before the car stopped.

The suspect jumped out of the vehicle and disappeared into the darkness.
