“The report wasn’t complete, so they are retuning and refining it,” said Constitutional and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Eric Matinenga.
“There are certain aspects which they need to revisit. They will bring it back on Monday.”
Management committee member Cde Patrick Chinamasa (Zanu-PF) concurred with Minister Matinenga that the document was returned be-cause Copac left out critical issues rai-sed during the conference.
“They left out background information of the second stakeholders’ conference and the address given to the conference by the President among others issues. On the whole, they fulfilled their mandate,” he said.
Copac co-chairperson Mr Douglas Mwonzora also confirmed the development.
“We are implementing the suggestions and we will present the report on Monday (today),” he said.
“They want us to include explanatory notes of the meaning of various figures because they are mainly based on frequency.
“There is, therefore, need for explanations to that.
“The management committee also wants us to include the narrative that was given by co-chairpersons at the conference.”
Mr Mwonzora said after the management committee endorses the report, they would proceed to do a comprehensive analysis of the submissions at the conference.
The management committee, he said, would give Copac guidance on how they should proceed.
He said Copac had its own way of doing it, but would stand guided by the management committee.
