AN area manager with Farm & City Private Limited, Justine Ngoshi (39), appeared in court last Friday facing charges of theft after he allegedly channelled company funds totalling US$10 200 to betting.

Ngoshi was brought before Harare provincial magistrate Mr Michael Mafukidze and was remanded in custody pending a full bail hearing.

According to the State, between July 31 last year and February 28 this year, Ngoshi collected US$10 200 meant to pay rent for the Belgravia Farm and City shop.

The funds were supposed to be handed over to Sawyer and Mkushi Legal Practitioners.

However, it is alleged that Ngoshi diverted the money for personal use, spending it on betting the Aviator game.

The total amount embezzled is reported as US$10 200, and nothing was recovered.
