FORMER Warriors striker Terrence Mandaza is fighting for a place in his Absa Premier Soccer League team Maritzburg United.
Mandaza, who has been used as a substitute in the last two games this year, has shown some sparks and scored a goal which is a great improvement for a striker who has been in the wilderness for some time.
Maritzburg commercial manager Younus Kadodia told Chronicle Sport: “Mandaza is a soldier in the game. He never gives up no matter what the circumstances are.
“The striker has been used twice and scored a vital goal for the team; we know that whenever he gains his confidence back, definitely he will be a threat to many opponents.”
Kadodia said the former Warriors player seems happy at the team and what makes them proud is that he has bounced back strongly.
“Mandaza is a more mature player now than last season. Whenever he is introduced in the game, he brings in some more flames.”
