FORMER Warriors striker Terrence Mandaza says he is enjoying life at Maritzburg United and has set a target of a top eight finish for his team.Mandaza said he remains committed to making sure that he repays the management and supporters for their faith in him by scoring as many goals as possible so that the team finishes in a respectable position.
The former Dynamos striker told Chronicle Sport: “Ever since I joined Maritzburg a few seasons ago I only wanted to put the team in the limelight. It’s joyful to be playing for such a humble and organised team.
“I’ve banged in a couple of goals this season. I’m not really eyeing the golden boot award but if it does happen then it will be a bonus. “Here we work as a team, each player with a scoring opportunity has a duty to slot in those goals; really it’s unwise and selfish to just want to score goals in tight angles. I’m a team player.”
The former Sparrows striker said his contract with the team is expiring at the end of the season but says at the moment he is not concerned about his next move.
Mandaza had a stint in Botswana before joining the Absa Premiership side, Platinum Stars a few seasons ago.
Former Highlanders defender Khumbulani Banda also plays for the side.
