Manhunt for armed robbers

 

“The two robbers arrived at the mine compound and bought two cigarettes from the complainant, Previous Mpofu (26) and Sithembiso Ndlovu (38) of Village 20 Rima Estate and Village 2 Bona area all from Inyathi Mine,” said Insp Dube.

He said the armed robbers then went out of the complex only to return after a short period of time armed with a rifle.

“They ordered the complainants to surrender their belongings, which included two cellphones, a teaspoon of mercury, four points of gold, an electric shaving machine and $101,” said Insp Dube.

He said the vendors were then force-marched to the mine at gunpoint where the armed robbers disappeared into the darkness.

“A report was made to police at Inyathi Station who attended the scene,” he said.
