THE ground is swelling for the second edition of The Manica Post/Diamond FM Health and Wellness Gala, scheduled to take place tomorrow (Saturday) at Mutare Boys’ High School grounds.
The event kicks off at 9am.
The event, themed – Move Well, Live Well – has garnered support from several local corporates, partnering with the integrated media house to promote health and wellness.
In addition to popular sporting activities such as social football, netball, basketball, and volleyball, attendees will have opportunities to network for business and receive free medical checks.
The Manica Post Editor, Cletus Mushanawani said: “We have thoroughly done our preparations in organising this year’s edition of The Manica Post/Diamond FM Health and Wellness Gala. This event is aimed at promoting health lifestyles among adults through sport in a relaxed environment. This is also a perfect opportunity for networking. It is also an ideal family day out, and we are inviting everyone who wishes to spend time and network with others on the sidelines of the event to be at Mutare Boys’ High School on Saturday.”

In an era marked by rising non-communicable diseases and mental health challenges, particularly among adults, health and wellness events have emerged as a vital tool for promoting healthy lifestyles.
These events typically encompass activities such as fitness classes, health screenings, mindfulness workshops, and cooking demonstrations, aiming to foster overall well-being by integrating mental, physical, and emotional health aspects.
Ideally, health and wellness events can range from corporate-led initiatives, including step challenges and meditation sessions, to community-focused activities like health fairs, nature walks, and fitness expos. As a responsible corporate citizen, Zimpapers hosts various health and wellness events.
Notable examples include the annual Zimpapers Cancer Power Walk, held in multiple locations across Zimbabwe every November, and the recent Men-to-Men Indaba in June 2025, which focused on mental health.
Recent activities in 2024 included supporting the Journalists’ Wellness Week and the Pumula North Shops Roadshow.
Zimpapers also promotes health and wellness by partnering with corporates or organisations on community health initiatives such as tomorrow’s wellness and health event.
