AN electrifying interprovincial kickboxing contest is set to kick off tomorrow (Saturday) at BG Gym in downtown Mutare, pitting top kickboxers from Manicaland against their Harare counterparts.
The event promises to be an action-packed spectacle, with a modest entry fee of US$2 for children and US$5 for adults.
Vice president of the Zimbabwe Kickboxing Association, Master Knowledge Nyamhoka, based in Mutare, highlighted the unique aspects of the tournament. “We are hosting an interprovincial championship between Harare and Manicaland provinces. What sets this tournament apart is the inclusion of fighters from schools, not just clubs,” he said.
Master Nyamhoka revealed that students from Makumbe High School will represent Manicaland against schools from Harare.
“The National Kickboxing Association’s theme is ‘catch them young,’ and this tournament is open to all local clubs and schools that wish to participate,” he said.
