Manicaland State University best students receive US$1 000 each for Chancellor’s Award

IT was all smiles for two students Hazvinandawa Motion and Jimias Joynah who were on cloud nine after receiving the ED Mnangagwa Chancellor’s Award of US$ 1 000 at the Manicaland State University of Applied Sciences’ 2nd Graduation Ceremony, in Mutare.

Joynah Jimias was awarded a first class degree in the Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Honours Degree with 25 distinctions.

She took also the overall best female and received her US$ 1 000.

Joynah was awarded with Vice Chancellor’s Award for overall best female student in the Faculty of Engineering.

Motion Hazvinandawa received his first-class degree in Bachelor of Science in Applied Statistics Honours Degree with 33 distinctions. He took home the overall best male student receiving the ED Mnangagwa Chancellor’s Award of US$ 1 000.

He was also awarded the Vice Chancellor’s Award and Old Mutual Outstanding Student Award.

Graduands, 83 are female and 89 are male, were drawn from the University’s four faculties namely; Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology, Faculty of Agri-Business Management and Faculty of Applied Social Sciences.
