Faithdrive Queens sing the blues

STRUGGLING Dangamvura-based Women Football League outfit Faithdrive Queens continued to sing the blues as they suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of city rivals Tenax Queens in the Women Super League match played at Dangamvura ground recently. The “Prison Girls” (Tenax Queens) displayed good football as they ran riot and collected maximum points.

The win came as a big relief to Tenax Queens, who had started their league campaign on a low gear.
Tenax Queens were the first to open their account after 52 minutes of play through National Under-20 star Berita Kabwe.
Former Mighty Warriors player Precious Nyado added her name onto the score-sheet as she doubled her teams’ lead in the 64th minute.
Faithdrive managed to penetrate the Tenax defence and fired home a goal in the 69th minute before Takudzwa Mupingo sealed Tenax’s victory in the 79th minute.

Tenax Queens are currently fourth and trailing pacesetters Black Rhinos by 27 points.
Black Rhinos has amassed 49 points so far.
Faithdrive is on 10th position with 12 points from 10 games.

Black Rhinos are currently on top of the log table and have managed to maintain their unbeaten run.
After playing 17 games they have gathered 49 points after winning 16 matches and drawing once.
Flame Lilly are five points behind the log leaders after playing the same number of matches.
Bindura-based Auckland Queens are on third position with 27 points from 19 games.

Borrow Jets found the going tough and are rooted at the bottom of the log with only 12 points and might face the chop at the end of the season.
