MINES and Mining Development Minister, Dr Polite Kambamura has graduated with a Master’s Degree in Public Policy and Governance from Africa University.
He is among 698 graduates from 21 countries who were capped during the institution’s 32nd graduation ceremony at the university campus.
The degree cohort is designed for senior Government officials, policymakers, and development leaders to equip them with analytical, leadership and governance skills needed to drive sustainable policy and public sector reform, according to AU Vice Chancellor, Professor Peter Mageto.

As he delivered his speech, Professor Mageto said the graduation brought together students from across Africa and beyond, reflecting its reputation as a pan-African center of excellence.

“Today we celebrate minds shaped to serve. Africa’s future depends on leaders who choose integrity over shortcuts, service over self, and collaboration over division. Our graduates leave here with a responsibility to build institutions that outlive them and deliver dignity to every citizen,” he said.
