BLESSING Togarepi has had FOUR marriages in the last SIX years — and all of them have COLLAPSED.
The longest marriage lasted just two weeks.
One of the marriages collapsed before he had even stayed with his wife, despite paying lobola.
Basically, it ended the day he paid lobola.
Recently, he even contemplated suicide after he felt robbed following payment of lobola for Aisha Lulu Chihota, on June 6, in Mutare.
He paid US$3,500 for lobola.
He never got to stay with her before the marriage collapsed.
It all started when he married Anita Nyoni in 2020 and paid US$9,200 but their marriage didn’t last more than five days.
In 2021, he settled for Natasha Chamisa and, after he paid US$18,000 lobola, their marriage collapsed two weeks after their lavish wedding.
He said Natasha, who was pregnant, just left without giving any reason.
The couple now have a son and Blessing sees his child twice every two weeks.
He then married Purity Kufakwenyika and paid US$1,000 in lobola.
The marriage lasted only five days.
Following all the drama in his previous marriages, he decided to settle with Aisha, who told him that she was a student pastor at St James United Methodist Church in Dangamvura.
When he paid lobola, her relatives say she suddenly became ill and, therefore, was unable to go with her husband.
They said she would come to her new home after she had recovered.
But, she never did.
The case ended at Chief Mutasa’s court. The court ordered that Aisha’s relatives return the money Blessing paid on or before August 31.
In an exclusive interview, Blessing blamed his life’s struggles on growing up without parents.
“I grew up as an orphan and I was looked after by my relatives.
“That motivated me to work hard to be who I am today. I am now doing mining consultancy and the way I love to pray has helped me.
“I believe in doing the right things and I believe in marrying through the right channels.
“All these things happening in my life are making me lose my peace because I no longer understand who cursed me because marriage for me is not working.
“I have been in four marriages.
“I married Anita Nyoni as my first wife. I was working with her selling mining claims.
“I married her through all the right channels and, after we started staying together, we went for prayers in the evening.
“While at the church, she manifested, acting like a snake in the presence of the church members.
“She then confessed that she was a sangoma, so when she manifested, it was around 2020, during the days of Covid-19.
“I then went to mine, and when I came back, she was gone. Her mother started giving me threats, saying I wanted to kill her daughter, and they started blaming me.”
Blessing said his second marriage was in 2021.
“My second marriage, I married Natasha Chamisa, in 2021. I paid US$18,000 lobola, and we had a lavish wedding and she is the mother of my son.
“As usual, I went with Natasha kuchurch kuChitungwiza before she started manifesting while in the car. She tried opening the door while the car was moving.
“She insulted me.
“I tried to engage her relatives, explaining to them about her manifestation. We started having issues, and she acted like a victim, yet she had insulted me kuti I was a weak man.”
The third marriage did not last, too. “What surprises me, when all these women leave, they don’t take money, and they leave the money.”
On June 6, Blessing married Aisha Lulu Chihota in Mutare.
“After I paid my lobola, they refused to give me the wife, and promised that I would get the wife after three weekends.
“I then approached my sister Rosemary Togarepi and Nickson Matanda to accompany me to her relatives.
“We were chased away from the house.

“So, I started to pray, trying to cast the demons.
