MULTIPLE award-winning gospel diva, Janet Manyowa, hosted a memorable thanksgiving family show on New Year’s Day at Celebration Centre.
Dubbed a “A Night of Thanksgiving” (ANOT 2023), the event attracted a bumper crowd.
In an interview with H-Metro just after her first performance of 2023, Manyowa said she was grateful for the turn up.
“Planning an event during the holiday is hard, most of the stores will be closed, but we managed to pull through.
“My hope and prayer for ANOT is that people will be uplifted because ANOT sets the tone of how we then go through the year.
“If three people really connect with God through this event, l would have achieved everything,” she said.
In another interview, Thembalami, who was part of the line-up could not hide his elation.
“I’m so honoured to be part of this event and worship with her, she is my sister. It’s been an amazing atmosphere and a sold out event, everyone is happy with the spirit of worship.
“Janet always puts up an amazing show; even the quality of the stage and presentation, she is one of our exports we need to sell to the world and let them know we have excellence in Zimbabwe.
“The support we have had from our local media has been amazing. The spirit of teamwork and to start the new year with a bang.
“We had a bigger turnout than we expected, but we tried by all means not to send people home because we had more than the capacity, but all things work together for good,” he said.
Janet was also celebrating her 12th anniversary with her husband at ANOT, and the track ‘Father’s House’ is in the pipeline to be released soon.
