FC Platinum coach Norman Mapeza says they are going to try and make maximum use of home advantage when they take on Cranborne Bullets at Mandava this weekend.
The champions rallied from behind to beat Simba Bhora 2-1 at the National Sports Stadium on Saturday. “No complaints, the guys have been pushing, we are talking about the home game and we want to maximise on home advantage.
“It’s a very important game, Cranborne are a quality side, they had a great game against Rhinos, although they lost.
“But, they are really a quality side. So, it’s all about us going in with the same mentality we had when we played in Harare, the same desire, hunger.”
He added: “We haven’t done a lot, it’s just one game down now. We just have to go into the game with the same approach we had in the last game in Harare.
“We want to collect maximum points, which is very important right now, I don’t think any club will take any game with a casual approach at this moment in time. It’s just the beginning of the season, it’s not like we have already played 30 games, everybody is looking for points.”
Juan Mutudza was on target, as he scored a brace, in their opening day win. Ronald Chitiyo scored for Simba on his return to the domestic Premiership. Cranbourne Bullets are coming from a 1-0 defeat to Black Rhinos in a game coach Nesbert “Yabo” Saruchera feels his men deserved, at least, a penalty.
