Nyasha Chintuli scored an own goal in the 71st minute and Oscar Bhebhe sealed victory for the platinum miners in stoppage time.
Coach Norman Mapeza said he was happy to collect maximum points
“It was a good game of football. We saw some fantastic football. I think in the first half we could’ve finished off the game.
“We had very good opportunities and clear-cut chances. It’s not easy to have so many chances and I think we should’ve finished the game in the first half.
“In the second half we kept pushing and had to make some substitutions. Manica came here with a game plan and we are happy we got the three points.
Well done to the boys, it’s another clean sheet. It shows that we are organised defensively though there were some scary moments I think in the first half, but it happens in the game of football,” he said.
Manica have not scored against FC Platinum since itheir promotion into the league.
“I don’t want to lie, I don’t care about records. I’m not someone who wants to talk about records.
“I don’t think it’s good for football. We play our games to win. Whatever happened two years ago is history, and the present is what is important.”
