After mesmerising music lovers with a stellar performance at last year’s Legends Night event in Bulawayo, seasoned Jazz and Marabi maestro Jeys Marabini has been roped in for this year’s Bulawayo edition, set for June 13.
Marabini joins fellow music legend Leonard Zhakata, cultural outfit Iyasa, and dancer-musician Sandra Ndebele, who were earlier announced as supporting acts for the upcoming show.
“Don’t miss this big party. I am looking forward to seeing you all at the Legends Night event. One love,” posted Marabini on his Facebook page.
The celebrated event was created by Jose Sax, a member of InTotal Band, to honour Zimbabwean music through performances of timeless local hits.
Last year’s sold-out edition in the City of Kings featured performances by InTotal Band and Iyasa, as well as Marabini with artistes paying tribute to music legends such as Oliver Mtukudzi, Leonard Dembo, and Tongai Moyo, among others.
Band Fusion opened the show, while one of the standout moments of the night was a surprise performance of Bhulugwe Lami by the Cool Crooners.
The event also attracted artistes including Albert Nyathi, Clive Mono Mukundu,and Saimon Mambazo, while veteran musicians were honoured for their immense contribution to Zimbabwean music.
Legends Night has continued to grow into a platform that celebrates timeless local music while connecting generations through culture and entertainment.
