In a bid to chronicle his journey in music and lay a trail of footprints for artistes that follow, marabi maestro Jeys Marabini is set to launch his autobiography on the same day as his eighth album.
Marabini who has over the last year been hard at work on his latest album, titled Thula Sana, has also been crafting his biography which he hopes will give pointers to up and coming artistes on how to conduct themselves as they start and progress with their own careers.
a?All in all, the 26th of March will be a big day for me because besides my album launch, people are going to get the first glimpse of my book.
a?For me itas all about leaving a legacy and with this book I will give young artistes a chance to retrace the footsteps I took in my career and hence make informed decisions on their own careers because we can only learn from those that have travelled a similar path,a? he said.
Turning to his album, Marabini said that Thula Sana, as the title suggested, was a project aimed at people going through strenuous situations in their lives.
a?The words, thula sana, are words that a father might utter to his son whenever he is going through strife and the intention of the album is to do exactly that. I am consoling those that might be struggling at a particular moment in life,a? he said.
Instead of his trusted band Kozekulunge, for his latest offering Marabini chose to work with a group of high profile session musicians.
