Marabini’s backing vocalist does gospel

DUMISANI “Dumie” Nyongola, Jeys Marabini’s backing vocalist, has released his debut album titled The Gospel in African Language.
The album consists of 10 tracks, which were sung in Shona, Ndebele, Venda and Sotho.In an interview, Nyongola said the album was a culmination of what he learnt during the years he worked with Jeys.

“I have been in the music circle for a long time and I have learnt a lot from Jeys Marabini. This experience helped to produce this album,” he said.
The Afro pop gospel singer said he was still a member of Jeys’ band.

“Jeys is supporting me on this journey and I have his blessings. We are still together even though I have launched my solo project,” he said.
Dumie said that his shift to gospel music was a calling from God.
