PROMINENT Bulawayo Jazz music dancer Frank Sibanda has taken another route in the arts industry, venturing into comedy.

Sibanda known in the entertainment scene as Mdawini has made a deviation to comedy after having been on stage for  almost 30 years as Jeys Marabini’s dancer.

Bulawa zimbambo is his first comedy skit which is circulating on social media. The  video intends to inform and educate youths on general things they come across in life.

“I have been on stage since 1989 and I thought of diverging into something else that will cheer up comedy fanatics of all age groups and I hope that my fans will appreciate my work,” he said.

I started comedy in 2017 with intentions of imparting general knowledge that is overlooked in the community, he continued. He  started dancing at a very young age, thereafter started acting and comedy at weddings and other events where he would get impromptu invites. Apart from being on stage Mdawini is also a football coach at community level appreciated by many, especially those residing in western suburbs.
