Mariah Carey’s ‘The Rarities’ track list out

MARIAH Carey has finally revealed the track list for her upcoming “The Rarities” album, a 15-track collection of unreleased songs, b-sides and, yes, rarities due out on October 2.

Among the treasures on tap is an unreleased song from the singer’s self-titled 1990 debut, “Here We Go Around Again”, as well as b-sides (“Slipping Away”, “Everything Fades Away”) and an unreleased song from “The Paperboy” soundtrack (“Mesmerised”) and the Lauryn Hill collabo “Saves the Day”.

The album also features a 17-track bonus disc, “Live at Tokyo Dome”, recorded in March 1996, which kicks off with “Daydream” and includes live versions of “Emotions”, “Fantasy”, “Always Be My Baby”, “One Sweet Day”, “Dreamlover”, “Vision of Love”, “Hero” and “All I Want For Christmas Is You”.

The Lambily has been inundated with a bumper crop of goodies during the #MC30 anniversary celebration already this year, including this week’s mega-drop of 16 of MC’s classic albums remastered on vinyl.

Carey has definitely leaned into her three-decade celebration, with a series of EPs and upcoming Christmas special on Apple TV+; Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special will be an exclusive holiday event from the global pop superstar that is described as an “innovative” mix of music, dancing and animation “driven by a universally heart-warming story that brings the world together.”
