Relationship woes were reportedly brushed aside last week as estranged couple Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon re- united for a Thanksgiving dinner. Taking to her Instagram account on Friday, Mariah posted two snaps in which she is seen modelling a bold red evening gown in the foyer of a sprawling home, captioning one of them: ‘‘Thanksgiving’’.
But while the shots were thought to have been taken at her Los Angeles residence, TMZ claim they were actually taken at the home of her estranged husband, from whom she confirmed her separation in August.
The website report that Mariah (44) enjoyed a cordial dinner with Nick (36) before leaving for a hotel with their two children, fraternal twins Monroe and Moroccan, shortly afterwards.
Mariah’s representatives declined to comment when contacted by MailOnline.
‘Gotta keep that going. I want to make sure we have a wonderful holiday together,’ the multi-talented 34-year-old said in the latest edition of In Touch.
‘‘Somewhere cold and snowy, like Aspen [Colorado]’’
It’s been five months since the Emmy nominee announced his separation from his 45-year-old wife of six years.
Nick said he and Mariah “talk and text every day”,’but the three-year-old fraternal twins are his ‘‘No. 1 priority’’.
‘‘Everything I do is for them. I just want to be the best father I can possibly be,’’ Cannon noted, before describing what presents might go under the tree.
‘‘My son loves games, like Angry Birds, but I’m trying to keep their eyes on the educational stuff. And honestly, my daughter likes sparkly things.’’
The curvaceous pop diva started her Christmas shopping early on November 6, and Cannon says she and Monroe share a lot in common.
‘‘My daughter is like her mom. She’s a diva,’’ the America’s Got Talent host admitted.
‘‘She loves jewellery and playing dress-up. She loves to sing and she loves attention. So she’s definitely her mother’s child! And my son is a tough guy. He runs the playground.’’
On Monday night, newly single Nick was joined in the DJ booth by British model Elsabel Yemane at London hotspot Cirque le Soir.
‘‘There are a lot of people after me right now,’’ the Drumline actor boasted to People last month.
‘‘I gotta slow it down. I’m trying to slow it down and stay focused. Family is the first thing and my kids are most important . . . Obviously the dating thing will come down the line, but right now I’m just slowing down’’ – Daily Mail.
