ZIFA are looking for another Warriors coach again after Marian Marinica stepped down, leaving the association scrambling ahead of the next assignment.
The association confirmed on Monday that Marinica has resigned from his post as head coach, citing personal reasons.
“The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) announces that Marian Marinica has resigned from his position as Head Coach of the Zimbabwe Senior Men’s National Team, citing personal reasons,” the association said.
“ZIFA has accepted his resignation and thanks Coach Marinica for his contribution to the Warriors. The Association wishes him well in his future endeavours.”
ZIFA have moved to fill the gap, with Kaitano Tembo taking charge on an interim basis.

“Kaitano Tembo has been appointed Interim Head Coach and will lead the team for the upcoming Unity Cup assignment in the United Kingdom,” the association said.
He will be assisted by Takesure Chiragwi.
“He will be assisted by Takesure Chiragwi, who has been appointed Assistant Coach.”
Chiragwi bounces back after the former Ngezi Platinum coach had stepped away from Warriors duties late last year after a touchline incident in which he struck one of his players during a league match, an episode that forced him to apologise and temporarily withdraw from national team assignments as disciplinary processes unfolded.
Tembo now takes charge with the Unity Cup coming up, with little time to settle.
The bigger question is what ZIFA do next, whether they stick with an interim set-up or go back into the market again.
