ZIMBABWE national football team coach Marian Mario Marinica has made a surprise announcement that he is leaving his job as Warriors coach just five months after his appointment.

Marinica’s resignation was announced by ZIFA in a brief statement this (Monday) afternoon.

The Romanian coach was in charge of the Warriors for about seven games, beginning with international friendlies against Algeria and Qatar in preparation for the 2025 AFCON finals held in Morocco.

ZIFA said the coach was leaving because of “personal reasons”.

Marinica departs just as Zimbabwe were preparing to take part in the four-nation Unity Cup in the United Kingdom during next FIFA window.
