MARK Ngwazi has vowed to use his influence to fight veld fires.
The pint-sized singer said he was worried by the impact of raging veld fires, which have led to the destruction of vegetation.
The Njanja Express band leader urged authorities to use their influence to fight veld fires.
“I have volunteered to use my influence to help in raising awareness against veld fires.
“As a celebrity, and someone who grew up in the rural areas, I am really saddened to see our vegetation being destroyed by veld fires.
“People should stop being reckless by starting these fires, which are a threat to human life,” he said.
He added:
“I grew up seeing vegetation and animals being destroyed by people who start these fires in clearing land.
“There are some people who start these fires during hunting expeditions and it’s really dangerous.
“I am really pained when we lose wildlife during veld fires.”
Ngwazi’s profile has exploded and he is now basking in the glory of his album, ‘‘Nharo Nezvine Nharo.’hj’
He said he was now working on visuals to complement the audios of the song.
Ngwazi also promised fans a series of regional and countrywide tours.
