Marondera Municipality has today completed rehabilitating all the four urban roads under the first phase of the Emergency Road Rehabilitation Programme (ERRP).

About $42.8 million has been used on rehabilitating the roads. The four urban roads that were rehabilitated are Pine, The Green, Second Street and Ruzawi.

The completion of these urban roads mean the contractor, Tensor Sytems Pvt Ltd will now start working on other roads in Marondera suburbs where there has been an outcry over the unusable and bad state of some of these roads.

This will see at least seven roads undergoing rehabilitation in the second phase of the ERRP. Early this year Government declared a state of national disaster on the majority of the roads across the country.
