Marondera youths march against illegal sanctions

Several youths drawn from Marondera district gathered in Marondera town for the Anti-Sanctions march.

SADC declared 0ctober 25 of every year as Anti-Sanctions Day where member states join hands in calling for the unconditional removal of illegal sanctions.

Running under the theme: “Harnessing the youth for accelerated socio-economic development in the fight against sanctions.”

Speakers at the march took time to recite solidarity messages against illegal sanctions which are crippling the country’s economy.

Marondera District Development Coordinator Clemence Masawi led the march.

Youths from Marondera University, Kushinga-Phikelela and Mountview Vocational Training Centre held placards with messages denouncing the illegal sanctions.

Marondera East Legislator Cde Vimbayi Mutokonya urged the youths, workers and students to call for the unconditional removal of sanctions that have destroyed the future of the youths.
