MARS launches new healthcare service

Sunday Mail Reporter

Medical Air Rescue Services (MARS) Zimbabwe has launched a new healthcare package — MARS LifeSaver — to widen access to healthcare services across the country.

In a statement yesterday, the ambulance services company said the new package offers ambulance services, health tips and dial-a-doc consultations.

The new services seek to provide easy access to critical health and wellness information through free daily health tips that promote healthy lifestyles and enable users to make informed health choices about themselves and their families.

According to MARS, the new package will prioritise urgency during life-threatening emergencies.

“The MARS LifeSaver package includes Dial-A-Doc consultations, through which subscribers can connect directly with qualified medical doctors by dialling 147 any time from 9 am to 5 pm to seek medical advice. ‘It’s a simple process that takes only a few seconds and can be accessed from any type of mobile phone”, the company said.

MARS, which is a unit of EcoCash Holdings Zimbabwe, is a healthcare solutions provider “dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of individuals and communities”.
