Mary Mary to perform in SA

this year’s 55th Grammy Awards.
Mary Mary is made up of sisters Erica and Tina Campbell, whose debut album “Thankful” in 2000 went platinum and won them their first Grammy for Best Contemporary Soul Gospel Album in 2001. They are scheduled to perform for one night only.

According to Base Africa Media’s publicist Sonia Motaung, the church accommodates 7 000 people but they will only be selling 5 000 tickets.

“Three young South African gospel singers will be the opening acts, but they cannot be named yet because they have not signed their contracts as yet,” Motaung said.

During the course of their stay, the musical sisters will also be shooting their self-titled reality show which debuted on WEtv on March 13 last year. Tickets for their show will go on sale from February 18. – Sowetan.
