WARRIORS starlet Vernon Masara has swapped Burnley for English seventh-tier side FC United of Manchester on a one-month youth loan.
Burnley confirmed the move in a statement, saying: “Burnley Football Club can confirm that Vernon Masara has joined Northern Premier League side FC United of Manchester on a month-long youth loan. The move is the 18-year-old’s first taste of senior football, having signed professional terms with the Clarets in May 2024.”

Masara, born in the UK to Zimbabwean parents, was last season registered as an Under-18 player but regularly featured for Burnley’s Under-21 side. His standout performances earned him the Academy Player of the Season accolade.

The promising midfielder was one of just three players under 18 retained on pro contracts by Burnley this term.
The loan move is seen as a vital stepping stone for the highly rated teenager to taste the grit of senior football while sharpening his readiness for future Warriors duties.
