MASKANDI duo Aphiwe and Sobancane are poised to once again serenade their fans with the digital release of their new album, Mlamu Wami, today.

The album features nine tracks: “Umlamu Wami”, “Imidlinzo”, “Ubombonga Esaphila”, “Ubulima Baso”, “Ubaculela” (featuring Msiz’kay, Thandy Dhlana, and MJ Sings), “Shwele”, “Uthando”, “Satane”, and “2014”.

Through their Zimbabwean manager, Handsome “Handy” Sibanda, Aphiwe and Sobancane expressed that the album aims to entertain and educate the masses on the values of life.

“The album is a fusion of messages which include love, pain, healing, and fun among other elements. The album will be available on all online stores and also on USBs for those who need physical copies.

“Most of the songs were recorded and produced by award-winning producer Nash at Rockup Studios in Bulawayo. Aphiwe and Sobancane are very excited to hear what the people have in store for them with this second offering. They had many songs prepared but chose only nine for this album,” said Handy.

The album will be launched in Plumtree at Chicken King on November 2 and in South Africa on December 7 at a venue yet to be announced.
