CONSISTENCY has finally paid off for Tuskers fast bowler Ernest Masuku who has been drafted into the Zimbabwe A team to face Canada later this month.

His reward comes after some good performances in the domestic league while turning out for the Bulawayo franchise.

Masuku, a 31-year-old seamer, is part of the strong 17-member squad announced by Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) on Thursday.

Another Tuskers star, who has also shone this season, left-arm spinner Ainsley Ndlovu was drafted into the squad too.

They have been the mainstay of the Tuskers team over the past seasons.

Eric Chauluka will coach the Zimbabwe A side.

The squad also includes the in-form Welch brothers, Nick and Matthew, alongside Antum Naqvi, Tony Munyonga, Tanunurwa Makoni, Nyasha Mayavo, and Alex Falao.

The team also sees the return of Bradley Evans and Tanaka Chivanga.

Canada arrived in Harare last Friday, with their preparations including two warm-up matches against a Zimbabwe Academy side.

This series aligns with ZC’s commitment to providing more competitive opportunities for emerging players while strengthening Zimbabwe’s cricketing depth.
