THE match between Masvingo United and Buffalo Junior was once again shelved as the Eastern Region Division One administrators will hold an extraordinary meeting today in Mutare.
The controversial match, which was supposed to have been played last week, was rescheduled as the administrators felt that tensions were still high to hold such a high-profile match.
The two teams were involved in violence, which saw their match at Vhengere being abandoned, but Buffalo Junior were latter awarded the three points on 2-1 scoreline.
The match was abandoned in the 75th minute and both clubs were fined with Yuna-Yuna forking out US$500 while the solders parted ways with US$200.
Zifa Eastern Region Division One executive director Tedious Machawira said they have shelved the match once again as they are holding an extraordinary meeting.
“We have postponed the match between Masvingo United and Buffalo Junior as we will be meeting as a region for the first half post-mortem.
“The match will be rescheduled to a later date, which will be announced, and we hope all will go well. The meeting is very vital as it will allow us to review the first half of the season and we will be able to discuss what was witnessed between the Masvingo United and Buffalo Junior.
“We are going to condemn the two teams’ behaviour and I hope that will help other would-be offenders not to do the same,” Machawira said.
