Masvingo hold Chicken Inn

TEN men Masvingo United held wasteful Chicken Inn to a goalless draw in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League at Luveve yesterday.
Enterprising Masvingo midfielder Welcome “Waruwa” Ndiweni went for an early shower in the 68th minute after receiving his second yellow card.

The home team failed to capitalise on their numerical advantage as the visitors defended well. Chicken Inn coach Philani “Beefy” Ncube was not amused with the result and blamed his players for “over doing things.”

“I am not happy at all. We should have won this game but the problem is that we over did most of the things. We put ourselves under unnecessary pressure as things got intense.
“We wanted an early goal but after failing to get it, the guys could not breathe as they kept thinking of surging forward every time we got possession.
“Anyway, the results are part of the game and we hope to do better in our next game,” said Ncube

Chicken Inn should have won the match by a big margin had they turned their first half dominance into goals.
Thomas Chimenya and Phillip Makanje were the culprits as they let down their teammates, missing glorious scoring opportunities.
