Masvingo resolves Jabulani Sibanda stays

province on the grounds that his activities were compromising the party.
The party executive now wants Cde Sibanda to continue with his political activities in Masvingo province until he accomplishes his mission.

The move to allow Cde Sibanda to continue with his political activities under Operation Kubudirana Pachena in Masvingo, follows a series of meetings between senior Zanu-PF leaders in the province and the war veterans leader’s team that managed to resolve the differences.

JABULANI SIBANDA

There were fears of a serious stand-off between the Zanu PF Masvingo provincial executive and war veterans over the presence of Cde Sibanda.
War veterans responded by charging that their national leader, Cde Sibanda, was not going to leave Masvingo as his mandate did not need the blessings of the Zanu PF Masvingo provincial leadership.

However, Zanu-PF Masvingo provincial chairman, Cde Lovemore Matuke, yesterday said they had sorted out their differences with Cde Sibanda whom he said was now free to continue with his programmes in Masvingo.

Cde Matuke said they had since struck common ground with the war veterans team led by Cde Sibanda after they agreed to attend to areas of concern.
“We are now sailing in the same boat with Cde Jabu (war veterans leader Sibanda) after we held a series of meetings with him.

‘We told him about our concerns as a party and they agreed to attend to them and we saw no reason why we should continue stopping them from their campaigns,” said Cde Matuke.
He said there was now mutual respect between Zanu-PF and war veterans in the province.
Cde Sibanda has been in Masvingo since October last year where he has been on a tour of the province on educational campaigns in villages and the farming community.
