Matabeleland North commemorates Heroes Day at Provincial Heroes Acre in Lupane

Proceedings have started at the Matabeleland North provincial Heroes Acre in Lupane where people from all walks of life have gathered to commemorate Heroes Day.


Matabeleland North Provincial Affairs and Devolution Minister Richard Moyo has arrived at the shrine which is the venue for the proceedings.


Soon after arrival he inspected a quarter guard.
After singing of the National Anthem, there was observance of a moment of silence in honour of the departed heroes.
There are 34 graves at the Provincial Heroes Acre in Lupane.
Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services have so far been entertaining the crowd with music and poetry.
