Matabeleland Province joins the Nation in celebrating Independence

PROCEEDINGS have started at the Matabeleland North Independence Day provincial celebrations held in Binga with the provincial Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution Richard Moyo leading the proceedings.

The devolved celebrations are held at Manjolo Primary School where multitudes have braved the scorching sun to be part of the national celebrations.

Services chiefs have started to arrive for the celebration.

Matabeleland North Provincial Affairs and Devolution Minister Richard Moyo has also arrived, the singing of the National Anthem marks the official commencement of the programme.

The parade constituting members of the Zimbabwe National Army, Zimbabwe Republic Police and Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Services has formed and will perform several drills in line with Independence Day celebrations.
