AFRO fusion artist, Mwenje Mathole, has dropped his latest single which delves deep into the challenges which come with issues related to money.

Released last week, the song is dubbed “Mari Yangu,” and was released with visuals.

In an interview with H-Metro, Mathole said his song describes how a debt can put a strain on relationships if the borrower doesn’t repay his dues.

“The song reflects how money can create problems between two or more people. This song reminds us of people who, despite their hard work, still find themselves in financial trouble.

“It also relates to people who are not being paid for their services by their employers.

“Munhu wese anekodzero yekuwana mari yake kana ashandira munhu,” he said.

Three months ago Mathole released a song titled “Samora Mashero” in a build-up to his upcoming album.

The song talks about life on either side of Harare’s Samora Machel Avenue.

It is an important street in the capital and there are many who believe that it divides the rich side of the city and its poor cousin.

Those who stay north of Samora Machel Avenue are considered to be richer than those who stay on the southern part of this city. This is the theme which Mathole explores in his song.
